Chief Agentic Cloud Architect

1 open position

EVA is in the business of acquiring enterprise software companies and transforming them into AI-native, profitable, scalable businesses. By prioritising Customer Success, we enable companies with strong product market fit to emerge as market leaders through sustained product innovation and high-quality professional services delivered via our global team. We are a remote-first company and our team is spread across the globe.

WHY JOIN EVA

 We offer:

  •  High ownership, flexibility, and impact in a fast-moving environment
  • Opportunity to design cloud governance across a growing portfolio of acquired SaaS products

  • Growth pathways across engineering, platform, operations, and leadership

  • Remote-first flexibility

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are hiring a Chief Agentic Cloud Architect to design, govern, and continuously optimise the AWS cloud estate that underpins EVA’s entire organisation — from internal development tooling to a portfolio of customer-facing SaaS products acquired from multiple companies.

This is not a single-product infrastructure role. You will define the AWS Landing Zone architecture that governs how every environment — development, QA, non-production, internal IT, and customer-facing SaaS — is structured, secured, and operated. You will set the Service Control Policies that enforce compliance and cost boundaries across the organisation, own the observability and APM platform, author the runbooks that make our L1 operations team effective, and introduce AI agents that monitor, detect, and resolve infrastructure issues before they become incidents.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

 1.  Cloud Foundation & Governance

  • Design and own EVA’s AWS Landing Zone — multi-account architecture, OU hierarchy, and account vending standards that bring every acquired product into a consistent, governed baseline
  • Author and enforce Service Control Policies (SCPs) across all environment tiers: development, QA, non-production, internal IT, and customer-facing SaaS — balancing the right level of velocity, security, and cost control at each layer

  • Own the end-to-end infrastructure architecture across the full product portfolio — compute, storage, networking, and database layers — with high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery built in across all production workloads

  • Define Infrastructure-as-Code standards (Terraform or AWS CDK) so all environments are reproducible, auditable, and version-controlled; drive cost optimisation through right-sizing, reserved capacity planning, and agentic usage analysis

2. Security Architecture

  • Own network, application, and data security across the entire cloud estate: VPC segmentation, WAF, IAM least-privilege, secrets management, encryption standards, and service-to-service authentication

  • Maintain a continuous compliance posture across all accounts through automated policy enforcement, drift detection, and audit logging — with product-level account isolation for all customer-facing SaaS deployments

 3. Observability, APM & Operational Runbooks

  • Build and own the observability stack on AWS using Prometheus and Grafana — metrics, alerting, SLO/SLA dashboards, and deployment health monitoring across all products and environments

  • Author precise, unambiguous runbooks for every recurring operational scenario so the L1 operations team can execute them without interpretation — each with a clear trigger, action sequence, escalation path, and resolution confirmation

 4. Agentic Operations & Proactive Reliability

  • Deploy AI agents for APM monitoring, deployment health checks, anomaly detection, auto-scaling pattern analysis, and cost anomaly alerts — shifting the operations model from reactive incident response to proactive control

  • Own the four reliability pillars across the full cloud estate — availability, security, cost, and performance — as continuously monitored, agent-managed outcomes, and build the feedback loop that returns learnings into the runbook library

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  •  12+ years in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification is a minimum requirement; Professional is strongly preferred

  • Proven experience designing and operating AWS Landing Zones using AWS Organizations, including OU hierarchy design and Service Control Policy authoring

  • Deep, hands-on expertise across core AWS services: EC2, EKS, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, Route†53, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, Transit Gateway, AWS Control Tower, and more

  • Strong command of network security, application security, and data security in a multi-account AWS context

  • Experience managing cloud environments across diverse stages — development, QA, staging, and production — with appropriate governance at each level

  • Experience building and operating observability stacks using Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent tooling

  • Proven ability to author operational runbooks that non-specialist teams can follow without ambiguity

  • Practical exposure to agentic AI, LLM-based automation, or AI-assisted infrastructure operations

NICE TO HAVE

  •  Additional AWS certifications: DevOps Engineer Professional, Security Specialty, or Advanced Networking Specialty
  • Experience with Terraform or AWS CDK for Infrastructure-as-Code at scale

  • Background in multi-product SaaS environments, PE-backed technology companies, or post-acquisition platform consolidation

  • Familiarity with FinOps principles and cloud cost governance frameworks

  • Experience with AWS Control Tower or similar Landing Zone automation tooling

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

  • You are not managing a single product’s infrastructure.
  • You are designing and governing the cloud foundation that every EVA product runs on — across every environment, every acquired company, and every team — and building the intelligent operations layer that keeps it all reliable, secure, and cost-efficient without waiting for an incident to tell you something is wrong.
  • This is a career-defining role for cloud architects who want to operate at organisational scale and define what agentic cloud operations looks like in practice.

Chief Agentic Quality Architect

1 open position

EVA is in the business of acquiring enterprise software companies and transforming them into AI-native, profitable, scalable businesses. By prioritizing Customer Success, we enable companies with strong product-market fit to emerge as market leaders through sustained product innovation and high-quality professional services delivered via our global team. We are a remote-first company and our team is spread across the globe.

WHY JOIN EVA

We offer:

  • High ownership, flexibility, and impact in a fast-moving environment.

  • Opportunity to work across multiple products, industries, and technologies

  • Growth pathways across engineering, product, operations, and leadership

  • Remote-first flexibility

ROLE OVERVIEW

As our Chief Agentic Quality Architect, you will orchestrate the transition from traditional scripted testing to an AI-augmented quality ecosystem. Your primary goal is to leverage agentic AI tools to generate, execute, and maintain high-fidelity test suites that keep pace with a development environment where AI agents are writing a significant portion of the production code.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

1. Assess & Benchmark Quality Coverage

  • Take ownership of a new product or suite of products as a hands-on quality leader. Conduct a comprehensive audit of the existing test estate across all layers — unit, integration, API, UI, sanity, and regression — evaluating depth, coverage, and reliability of each suite.

  • Evaluate the current QA tooling, frameworks, and automation maturity against EVA’s quality benchmarks and coverage expectations. Identify systemic gaps, test debt, and high-risk areas with no automated coverage.

  • Produce a Current State & Gap Coverage Report that maps existing tooling, highlights missing coverage domains, and recommends the adoption tooling needed to close the gaps — the baseline for every roadmap that follows.

2. Define the Quality Engineering Roadmap

  • Define missing test cases and user journeys. Prioritise end-to-end automation across critical business flows using agentic automation patterns, with a deliberate emphasis on left-heavy coverage — maximising unit and integration depth first, and extending rightward through black-box UI and regression testing.

  • Architect and own the phased quality engineering roadmap, structured as three delivery horizons:

  • Two-Week Plan: Complete the current-state assessment; identify the highest-risk coverage gaps; stand up quick-win automation on the most critical user journeys; evaluate and select the tooling to be adopted.

  • One-Month Plan: Core regression coverage established across primary domains; CI/CD quality gates operational and integrated into the development pipeline; agentic test generation producing its first validated suites.

  • Three-Month Plan: End-to-end agentic automation live and self-maintaining; EVA benchmark coverage achieved; AI guardrails enforced across all automated agent output; quality metrics visible to engineering leadership.

3. Agentic Test Generation & Automation

  • Prompt-Based Engineering: Utilise AI agents to automatically transform business requirements and manual test cases into executable Playwright or Cypress scripts.

  • Synthetic Test Creation: Implement tools that autonomously generate test data and edge-case scenarios that human testers might overlook.

  • Autonomous Maintenance: Deploy self-healing automation frameworks that use AI to detect UI changes and update test selectors without human intervention.

4. Guardrails for AI-Generated Code

  • Agent Regression Strategy: Design and own a comprehensive regression suite specifically tuned to catch the non-deterministic “hallucinations” or logic errors common in AI-generated code.

  • Behavioral Locking: Implement characterisation testing patterns to “lock in” the expected behaviour of legacy systems during AI-assisted refactoring.

  • Autonomous Output Validation: Define quality gates to validate the outputs of autonomous agents, ensuring they meet functional, security, and performance boundaries.

5. Build & Mentor an AI-Skilled QA Team

  • Hire QA engineers with deep, hands-on capability in AI-assisted testing and agentic automation frameworks — not generalists, but specialists who can design, implement, and operate AI-driven quality systems in production.

  • Mentor and upskill the team on EVA’s agentic workflows, guardrail frameworks, and quality benchmarks. Set the technical bar and hold the team to it through code reviews, pairing, and structured coaching.

  • Instil a quality-first engineering culture where QA is embedded throughout the development lifecycle — not a downstream gate — and every AI-generated change is treated as a quality risk until validated.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Automation Frameworks: Expert-level proficiency in Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.

  • AI Tooling: Hands-on experience using LLMs (Claude, GPT-4, etc.) and agentic frameworks to generate code or automate workflows.

  • CI/CD Mastery: Deep understanding of integrating quality gates into AWS-based pipelines or similar environments.

  • Architectural Mindset: Ability to design "Behavioral Snapshots" to safeguard critical business logic during rapid transformations.

  • 10+ years in QA automation engineering, SDET, or test architecture roles

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in remote-first or globally distributed engineering teams

  • Background in SaaS scale-ups, legacy modernization projects, or PE-backed environments

  • Exposure to performance, load, or security testing tooling

  • Comfort operating in high-ambiguity, high-ownership environments with evolving requirements

Customer Support Engineer

1 open position
EVA is in the business of acquiring enterprise software companies and transforming them into AInative, profitable, scalable businesses. By prioritising Customer Success, we enable companies with strong product-market fit to emerge as market leaders through sustained product innovation and highquality professional services delivered via our global team. We are a remote-first company and our team is spread across the globe.

WHY JOIN EVA
• Direct impact on customer outcomes across a growing portfolio of enterprise SaaS products
• Exposure to diverse technical environments across a growing portfolio and a clear path for technical and career growth
• Collaborative, remote-first team with structured onboarding and clear escalation paths
• Opportunity to shape support processes and contribute to runbook and knowledge-base development

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are hiring a Customer Support Engineer to be the primary point of contact for customers across EVA's portfolio of acquired SaaS products. You will own tickets end-to-end — triaging, investigating, and resolving technical issues, escalating complex cases to engineering, and helping build the knowledge base that keeps our support operation scalable and consistent.
This is not a script-reading role. You will need genuine curiosity about how software works, the ability to reproduce and diagnose issues in cloud-hosted environments, and the communication skills to translate technical findings into clear, reassuring updates for customers.
We are big believers in AI-augmented work. In this role, you will be expected to use AI tools intensively — for troubleshooting, communication, knowledge base search, solution generation, and more. The goal is not to replace your thinking but to make you dramatically faster and more effective at everything you do. If you are the kind of person who is already finding ways to use AI in your daily workflow and pushing its limits, you will fit right in.

This is a remote-first role. Given our customer base, we are looking for candidates able to cover US business hours.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
1.Ticket Ownership & Resolution
  • AI is a core part of how we work in Support — you will use it daily across triage, troubleshooting, drafting, and knowledge search. Your edge is knowing when to trust it, when to push back, and when to take over entirely

  • Communicate with customers at a consistently high standard — every update clear, every expectation set, every resolution confirmed; your written output should be good enough to become a template

  • Own the support queue with urgency — every ticket acknowledged, categorised, and prioritised within SLA, without hesitation

  • Resolve complex technical issues end-to-end — configuration failures, integration breakdowns, data inconsistencies, and environment-specific faults that require in-depth investigation

  • Reproduce customer-reported issues in staging or sandbox environments to confirm behaviour and gather evidence

2.Technical Investigation
  • Dissect issues that others would escalate — trace every problem to its root through logs, SQL queries, and system behaviour before drawing any conclusions

  • AI is your first call on every investigation — use it to surface patterns, generate hypotheses, and cut through complexity; your job is to direct it, validate it, and close the case

  • Resolve issues directly — correct data inconsistencies, adjust configuration, apply targeted fixes — you find the answer, you own the fix

  • Diagnose integration failures between our products and connected third-party systems — data sync issues, file exchange errors, and API misbehaviour across any connected platform

  • Where a direct fix is not available, you don't wait — engineer a workaround or alternative workflow that keeps the customer operational while the underlying issue is driven to resolution

  • Drive every open case forward without being asked — own the momentum across customers, internal teams, and engineering until the issue is closed

  • Reproduce and document issues with precision — environment, configuration state, data conditions, and exact reproduction path; when engineering escalation is needed, your summary is already written: concise, evidence-backed, and actionable without a single follow-up question

3. Knowledge Base & Runbooks
  • For every resolved issue, produce a clear and complete resolution statement — precise enough that anyone could follow it without interpretation; these feed directly into AI-generated knowledge base articles

  • Author and maintain troubleshooting runbooks for recurring issue patterns — clear trigger conditions, step-by-step actions, and unambiguous resolution confirmation

  • Identify gaps in product documentation and flag them to the product and engineering teams

4. Proactive Support Quality
  • Surface recurring issue patterns and systemic failure points to engineering as candidates for permanent fixes or product improvements

  • Actively look for repetitive ticket types, manual steps, and workflow inefficiencies — and bring forward concrete proposals to automate or eliminate them

  • Participate in post-incident reviews to capture learnings and update runbooks accordingly

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

NICE TO HAVE
  • Big Plus: Familiarity with US higher education financial aid processes — Title IV compliance, FAFSA/ISIR processing, packaging and disbursement, or R2T4
  • Stands out: Experience supporting SaaS products that integrate with Student Information Systems (e.g. Ellucian Banner, Colleague) or federal education systems
  • Stands out: Exposure to EdTech or regulated industry SaaS where compliance and audit trails are central to the product
  • Stands out: Experience supporting multi-product or multi-tenant SaaS platforms
  • Exposure to cloud environments and an understanding of how cloud-hosted SaaS applications are structured and operated
  • Familiarity with observability tooling such as Grafana, Datadog, or similar
  • Prior involvement in knowledge base or runbook development

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
You are not fielding tickets for a single product. You are the human layer of reliability across every EVA product, every acquired company, and every customer account. When something breaks for a customer, you are the first person they hear from — and how you handle that moment defines their confidence in the entire EVA portfolio. By resolving issues well, documenting what you learn, and surfacing patterns to engineering, you help make the whole organisation smarter and more resilient.
This is a career-defining role for support engineers who want to grow technically, operate across a complex multi-product environment, and have a measurable impact on customer
outcomes.

Senior Platform & Site Reliability Engineer

1 open position

EVA Equity Partners acquires and scales B2B SaaS companies. Our portfolio runs on a shared platform and reliability foundation that is being built in parallel with active acquisitions. You will be the person who builds and owns that foundation — not a support function, but the engineering backbone of how every product in our portfolio is built, deployed, and kept alive.

The Role

This role carries full architectural and operational ownership of the platform layer across EVA and its portfolio. The Cloud Architect owns AWS infrastructure standards — VPCs, account structures, networking, and compute design. Everything outside that lane is yours: the CI/CD platform, the observability and reliability stack, the event streaming infrastructure, the deployment pipelines, and the incident engineering model.

At Eva, architectural decisions are yours to make and defend, standards are yours to define and enforce, and the reliability of 20+ enterprise SaaS products depends on what you and your team build.

This is also an AI-native engineering organisation. Where it is practical and safe to do so, you are expected to use automation and AI-assisted tooling to reduce toil — in CI/CD triage, infrastructure provisioning, observability workflows, and acquisition onboarding. The expectation is not to replace engineering judgement with automation, but to free it up for the problems that genuinely require it.

The Scale You Will Operate At

EVA is building toward a portfolio of 20+ live, enterprise-grade SaaS solutions running concurrently. Each product serves enterprise customers and processes millions to billions of real-time requests. The architecture is serious: event streaming for real-time data pipelines, batch processing workloads running alongside live transaction flows, and multi-tenant enterprise-grade reliability expectations across every product.

You will design and operate the platform infrastructure that underpins all of it — and you will do it in a way that scales horizontally as each new acquisition joins the portfolio, without proportionally scaling cost, complexity, or headcount.

What You Will Own

Platform Architecture

  • Full architectural ownership of the non-AWS toolchain: CI/CD, observability, event streaming, automation, secrets, and deployment infrastructure

  • Define, build, and enforce platform standards across portfolio products

  • Terraform IaC for all infrastructure — nothing provisioned manually, everything versioned and reviewed

  • Self-service developer platform so product teams ship without waiting on platform

Event Streaming & Pipeline Infrastructure

  • Own the event streaming architecture, operational standards, and health monitoring across all products using real-time pipelines

  • Design and maintain batch processing infrastructure alongside live event flows

  • Ensure pipeline reliability, throughput, and cost are actively managed at scale

CI/CD & Deployment

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) across all portfolio products

  • Automate triage and retry logic for known failure classes — flaky tests, dependency timeouts, OOM kills — so engineers are only paged for genuinely novel failures

  • Deployment standards: release management, rollback mechanisms, canary and blue-green patterns where justified

Observability & Reliability

  • Own the full observability stack: Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki across all products

  • SLOs and error budgets defined per product; reliability tracked consistently

  • Build alerting that correlates signals and surfaces diagnostic context alongside notifications — so on-call engineers arrive at an incident with hypotheses, not a blank screen

  • Incident response: on-call design, escalation playbooks, post-mortem facilitation

  • Automated remediation scoped to a defined set of safe, idempotent actions — container restarts, ECS task scaling, known rollback patterns. Novel or ambiguous failures escalate to a human with full context attached

Acquisition Onboarding

  • Platform audit and gap analysis for every new acquisition — assessing CI/CD maturity, IaC coverage, observability gaps, and security posture

  • Migration plan and execution for each portfolio company joining the EVA platform — sequenced to avoid disrupting live operations

  • Target: full platform integration within a defined window per acquisition

A note on automation

Where automation is safe and the failure modes are well understood — routine provisioning, known CI/CD failure classes, secrets rotation, cost anomaly flagging — we expect you to automate aggressively. Where automation would act on ambiguous signals or carry significant blast radius, we expect human judgement in the loop. The goal is to reduce toil on solved problems, not to automate decisions that require engineering expertise.

EVA Platform Stack

Lean, AWS-native where possible, open-source where it fits, paid tooling only when justified.

Area

Stack / Standard

IaC

Terraform OSS / OpenTofu

Observability

Grafana, Prometheus, Loki

Log Management

AWS CloudWatch, Grafana Loki

Secrets

AWS Secrets Manager / HashiCorp Vault OSS

Containers

ECS (default), EKS only where justified

Cost Monitoring

AWS Cost Explorer with custom dashboards

What We're Looking For

Experience & Background

  • 8–12 years in platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE — with clear evidence of increasing ownership over time

  • Strong Terraform depth across multi-environment, multi-account setups

  • CI/CD ownership across a multi-product environment with GitHub Actions

  • Experience with event streaming infrastructure at production scale — design, operations, reliability, and cost management

  • Hands-on Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki in production

  • AWS operational depth: ECS, EKS, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Cost Explorer

  • SRE fundamentals: SLOs, error budgets, on-call design, post-mortem culture

  • Acquisition or greenfield platform integration experience strongly preferred

You are not joining an established platform team — you are building one. The initial months will require you to make architectural decisions that future hires will inherit, define standards that will govern how every acquisition plugs into the EVA platform, and establish a reliability practice from scratch across a live and growing portfolio. You should be the kind of engineer who thinks beyond their own workload and builds things that others can confidently extend.

How You Work

  • Comfortable operating across multiple products simultaneously — context-switching without dropping standards

  • Cost-efficiency instinct — you optimise spend as a habit, not as a project

  • You treat automation as a tool for eliminating toil, not a substitute for engineering judgement

  • You document decisions, enforce standards through code, and build platforms that other engineers find intuitive to use

Why This Role

EVA's platform function is being built from the ground up. You will have architectural ownership of the entire non-AWS platform layer across a growing portfolio of enterprise SaaS products, and the freedom — and responsibility — to build the reliability and delivery culture of the organisation.

This is not a role that inherits someone else's decisions and maintains them. Every major architectural choice is still to be made. If you want to build something that lasts and that other engineers depend on, this is the role.

Functional Analyst

1 open position

EVA Equity Partners acquires and operates enterprise software companies, accelerating profitable growth through a proprietary operating model refined over 40+ acquisitions and two decades of operational experience, now powered by EVA OS - our patented agentic AI platform. We're committed to innovation, customer success, and building world-class products that drive real business results.

Role Overview

We're seeking a Functional Analyst to join our Delivery Services team. This individual will play an active, hands-on role across all aspects of implementation for new clients and provide ongoing support for existing clients. Reporting to the Professional Services Program Director, the Functional Analyst works closely with clients, other Delivery Services team members, account management, and subject matter experts to ensure our solution meets each client's product utilization expectations. Knowledge of financial aid for higher education is highly desired; knowledge of Regent products is preferred.

What You Will Do

  • Lead client sessions, including demo and discovery, weekly working sessions, system training, and supporting clients' validation activities

  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with clients to analyze information needs and functional requirements

  • Document client requirements using document analysis, requirements working sessions, business process descriptions, use case scenarios, and task and workflow analysis

  • Configure the software according to clients' future-state processes and assess that it is operating as expected and functioning per requirements

  • Perform problem analysis by reviewing error codes and unexpected test results so that corrective, timely action can be taken to eliminate issues that may adversely affect the system

  • Lead client training sessions and support client validation activities

  • Engage on multiple implementations and initiatives simultaneously, balancing priorities and timelines across accounts

  • Flex across Delivery Services roles as needed — learning new skills, tools, and techniques while easing resource constraints

  • Adapt to changing organizational priorities with awareness of the downstream implications of decisions

  • Serve as the conduit between the financial aid community, internal and external clients, and the software development team, ensuring functional requirements flow cleanly across stakeholders

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or another related discipline

  • Five years of experience working in financial aid or financial aid systems management

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret client business needs and translate them into application configuration, operational processes, and business requirements

  • Experience with system configuration and data conversion with primary external applications and solutions

  • Experience working with clients in a collaborative development environment on implementation projects for complex business systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with executives, managers, developers, and other subject matter experts

  • Skilled in diagnosing system-related problems with strong troubleshooting capabilities

  • Strong work ethic and team-player attitude, with a deep commitment to client satisfaction

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence

  • Ability to prioritize and execute across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining complete confidentiality of critical company data

  • Comfort training groups of users on system functionality and a results-oriented track record of meeting deadlines

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Regent products or other higher-education financial aid platforms

  • Experience as a business analyst or functional analyst within a professional services or delivery team

  • Prior experience working in a financial aid office at a higher education institution

  • Background working with global remote teams

  • Exposure to high-growth or transformation environments

  • Experience handling a fast pace and ambiguous environment

Why Join EVA?

We offer:

  • High ownership, flexibility, and impact in a fast-moving environment

  • Opportunity to work across multiple products, industries, and technologies

  • Growth pathways across engineering, product, operations, and leadership

  • Competitive salary and flexible remote work environment
