Scrum Master

2 open positions

EVA is in the business of acquiring enterprise software companies and transforming them into AI-native, profitable, scalable businesses. By prioritizing Customer Success, we enable companies with strong product market fit to emerge as market leaders through sustained product innovation and high-quality professional services delivered via our global team. We are a remote-first company and our team is spread across the globe.

WHY JOIN EVA

We offer:

  • High ownership, flexibility, and impact in a fast-moving environment.

  • Opportunity to work across multiple products, industries, and technologies.

  • Growth pathways across engineering, product, operations, and leadership.

  • Remote-first flexibility.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are hiring a Scrum Master to drive disciplined, predictable, and high-velocity delivery across 2–3 engineering teams operating within our portfolio companies.

This role combines rigorous sprint execution, project planning, release management, delivery tooling ownership, and hands-on quality assurance. You will own the delivery operating rhythm end-to-end: from project plan creation and Gantt chart tracking through sprint ceremonies, release coordination in Redmine, and exploratory testing that ensures we ship quality software.

You are not running ceremonies in isolation. You are the single point of accountability for delivery health, project timelines, release readiness, and product quality across your assigned teams.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

1. Project Planning & Delivery Tracking

  1. Prepare and maintain project plans with clear milestones, delivery deadlines, task dependencies, and resource assignments for each active engineering workstream

  2. Create and manage Gantt charts to visualize project timelines, critical path, and milestone progress across teams

  3. Track delivery against committed deadlines, flag slippage early, and drive corrective action with engineering leads before deadlines are missed

  4. Own the mapping between sprint-level work and project-level milestones, ensuring individual sprints roll up to cohesive delivery timelines

  5. Maintain a consolidated project status view across all assigned teams, giving leadership clear visibility into what is on track, at risk, or blocked

2. Sprint Execution & Agile Delivery

  1. Own and facilitate core agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives across 2–3 teams

  2. Ensure each team maintains clear sprint goals, realistic commitments, and a predictable delivery cadence

  3. Track sprint progress, identify risks early, and resolve blockers before they impact delivery timelines

  4. Drive continuous improvement in team velocity, estimation accuracy, and sprint completion rates

  5. Own sprint capacity planning across teams, accounting for shared resources, availability gaps, leaves, and cross-team dependencies

  6. Run Scrum-of-Scrums or equivalent cross-team syncs to manage inter-team dependencies, shared resource conflicts, and staggered sprint cadences

3. Release Management & Redmine Operations

  1. Create and manage releases in Redmine, ensuring every release has a clear scope, version tag, target date, and linked tickets

  2. Track ticket progress against releases: monitor open vs. closed vs. in-progress issues, flag scope creep, and ensure release readiness before deployment

  3. Configure and maintain Redmine projects, trackers, custom fields, workflows, and permissions to support clean delivery operations

  4. Maintain Redmine dashboards and saved queries that give instant visibility into release health, aging tickets, blockers, and team workload

  5. Ensure sprint outputs flow cleanly into releases: tested, documented, reviewed, and ready for deployment

  6. Coordinate release timing with QA, DevOps, and engineering leads to ensure smooth, predictable releases

4. Backlog Management & Cross-Functional Alignment

  1. Partner with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, QA, and Customer Success to ensure backlog items are well-defined, prioritized, and delivery-ready

  2. Ensure user stories have clear acceptance criteria, dependencies, estimates, and ownership before entering sprint planning

  3. Maintain visibility into scope changes, spillovers, and risks across active workstreams

  4. Help align product priorities with engineering capacity and customer-impacting commitments

  5. Triage production incidents and customer escalations against sprint commitments — ensure urgent customer-impacting work is properly sized and slotted without derailing sprint goals

5. Quality Assurance & Exploratory Testing

  1. Develop deep product knowledge across assigned teams to serve as an effective QA checkpoint, not just a process coordinator

  2. Conduct hands-on exploratory testing: break the product, find edge cases, test user workflows end-to-end, and validate that delivered features actually work as intended

  3. Verify delivered stories against acceptance criteria before sprint review, catching gaps before they reach stakeholders or customers

  4. Identify patterns in escaped defects and work with engineering leads to address root causes in testing practices, code review, or definition of done

  5. Collaborate with dedicated QA engineers where available, but own the quality gate when formal QA capacity is limited

  6. Test across browsers, devices, and environments as needed — ensure releases are production-ready, not just code-complete

6. Delivery Playbooks & Process Standardization

  1. Create and maintain delivery playbooks that standardize sprint operations across all assigned teams: sprint ops, backlog hygiene, definition of ready/done, escalation paths, and onboarding guides

  2. Document release management processes, Redmine conventions, and project planning standards so that delivery operations are repeatable and not dependent on tribal knowledge

  3. Build QA checklists and exploratory testing guides for each product area

  4. Ensure playbooks are living documents — updated based on retrospective learnings and evolving team needs

  5. Enable new team members to ramp up on delivery processes quickly through clear, accessible documentation

7. Delivery Governance & Reporting

  1. Build and maintain delivery dashboards covering sprint health, velocity, burndown, blockers, aging tickets, release readiness, and project milestone tracking

  2. Provide consolidated sprint health visibility across all assigned teams, identifying cross-team patterns and systemic improvement areas

  3. Escalate delivery risks, unresolved blockers, and dependency gaps with clear action owners and timelines

  4. Report on engineering delivery metrics: sprint predictability, cycle time, defect escape rate, release frequency, and estimation accuracy

  5. Surface patterns across teams — e.g., all teams struggling with estimation, one team consistently spilling stories — and drive targeted improvements

8. Team Enablement & Continuous Improvement

  1. Coach engineering teams on agile principles, delivery discipline, estimation techniques, and continuous improvement practices

  2. Identify recurring delivery bottlenecks and work with leadership to improve process, tooling, and operating rhythm

  3. Encourage accountability without creating bureaucracy — help teams move faster with better clarity

  4. Support distributed teams with structured communication, clear follow-ups, and strong async execution habits

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Required

  1. 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Delivery Lead, with demonstrated experience managing 2+ engineering teams simultaneously

  2. Strong hands-on experience with Redmine (or Jira): project configuration, release creation, custom workflows, Gantt charts, dashboards, and sprint reporting

  3. Proven ability to create and manage project plans, delivery timelines, Gantt charts, and milestone tracking across multiple concurrent workstreams

  4. Hands-on QA capability: ability to learn products deeply, conduct exploratory testing, find edge cases, and validate delivered features against acceptance criteria

  5. Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, backlog management, sprint planning, estimation techniques, and release coordination

  6. Experience creating delivery playbooks, process documentation, and standardized operating procedures for engineering teams

  7. Strong stakeholder management skills across Product, Engineering, QA, Customer Success, and leadership teams

  8. Experience working with remote-first or globally distributed teams

  9. Excellent communication, follow-through, meeting facilitation, and written documentation skills

  10. Bias toward clarity, ownership, execution discipline, and measurable delivery outcomes

Nice to Have

  1. Experience in SaaS, enterprise software, or platform engineering environments

  2. Experience in post-acquisition or turnaround environments where processes needed to be built from scratch

  3. Familiarity with engineering metrics: cycle time, lead time, defect leakage, sprint predictability, deployment frequency, and MTTR

  4. Exposure to AI-assisted software delivery, engineering automation, or modern SDLC tooling

  5. Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

You are not just running ceremonies. You are the delivery backbone for 2–3 engineering teams — the person who ensures project plans are realistic, sprints are productive, releases ship on time, and the product actually works.

This is a high-impact role for someone who can bring structure to ambiguity, build repeatable delivery systems, personally validate product quality, and help portfolio companies scale engineering delivery with speed, discipline, and accountability.

Your playbooks, dashboards, Redmine configurations, and testing rigor become the operating infrastructure that makes predictable delivery possible across the portfolio.

Chief Agentic Cloud Architect

1 open position

EVA is in the business of acquiring enterprise software companies and transforming them into AI-native, profitable, scalable businesses. By prioritising Customer Success, we enable companies with strong product market fit to emerge as market leaders through sustained product innovation and high-quality professional services delivered via our global team. We are a remote-first company and our team is spread across the globe.

WHY JOIN EVA

 We offer:

  •  High ownership, flexibility, and impact in a fast-moving environment
  • Opportunity to design cloud governance across a growing portfolio of acquired SaaS products

  • Growth pathways across engineering, platform, operations, and leadership

  • Remote-first flexibility

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are hiring a Chief Agentic Cloud Architect to design, govern, and continuously optimise the AWS cloud estate that underpins EVA’s entire organisation — from internal development tooling to a portfolio of customer-facing SaaS products acquired from multiple companies.

This is not a single-product infrastructure role. You will define the AWS Landing Zone architecture that governs how every environment — development, QA, non-production, internal IT, and customer-facing SaaS — is structured, secured, and operated. You will set the Service Control Policies that enforce compliance and cost boundaries across the organisation, own the observability and APM platform, author the runbooks that make our L1 operations team effective, and introduce AI agents that monitor, detect, and resolve infrastructure issues before they become incidents.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

 1.  Cloud Foundation & Governance

  • Design and own EVA’s AWS Landing Zone — multi-account architecture, OU hierarchy, and account vending standards that bring every acquired product into a consistent, governed baseline
  • Author and enforce Service Control Policies (SCPs) across all environment tiers: development, QA, non-production, internal IT, and customer-facing SaaS — balancing the right level of velocity, security, and cost control at each layer

  • Own the end-to-end infrastructure architecture across the full product portfolio — compute, storage, networking, and database layers — with high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery built in across all production workloads

  • Define Infrastructure-as-Code standards (Terraform or AWS CDK) so all environments are reproducible, auditable, and version-controlled; drive cost optimisation through right-sizing, reserved capacity planning, and agentic usage analysis

2. Security Architecture

  • Own network, application, and data security across the entire cloud estate: VPC segmentation, WAF, IAM least-privilege, secrets management, encryption standards, and service-to-service authentication

  • Maintain a continuous compliance posture across all accounts through automated policy enforcement, drift detection, and audit logging — with product-level account isolation for all customer-facing SaaS deployments

 3. Observability, APM & Operational Runbooks

  • Build and own the observability stack on AWS using Prometheus and Grafana — metrics, alerting, SLO/SLA dashboards, and deployment health monitoring across all products and environments

  • Author precise, unambiguous runbooks for every recurring operational scenario so the L1 operations team can execute them without interpretation — each with a clear trigger, action sequence, escalation path, and resolution confirmation

 4. Agentic Operations & Proactive Reliability

  • Deploy AI agents for APM monitoring, deployment health checks, anomaly detection, auto-scaling pattern analysis, and cost anomaly alerts — shifting the operations model from reactive incident response to proactive control

  • Own the four reliability pillars across the full cloud estate — availability, security, cost, and performance — as continuously monitored, agent-managed outcomes, and build the feedback loop that returns learnings into the runbook library

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  •  12+ years in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification is a minimum requirement; Professional is strongly preferred

  • Proven experience designing and operating AWS Landing Zones using AWS Organizations, including OU hierarchy design and Service Control Policy authoring

  • Deep, hands-on expertise across core AWS services: EC2, EKS, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, Route†53, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, Transit Gateway, AWS Control Tower, and more

  • Strong command of network security, application security, and data security in a multi-account AWS context

  • Experience managing cloud environments across diverse stages — development, QA, staging, and production — with appropriate governance at each level

  • Experience building and operating observability stacks using Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent tooling

  • Proven ability to author operational runbooks that non-specialist teams can follow without ambiguity

  • Practical exposure to agentic AI, LLM-based automation, or AI-assisted infrastructure operations

NICE TO HAVE

  •  Additional AWS certifications: DevOps Engineer Professional, Security Specialty, or Advanced Networking Specialty
  • Experience with Terraform or AWS CDK for Infrastructure-as-Code at scale

  • Background in multi-product SaaS environments, PE-backed technology companies, or post-acquisition platform consolidation

  • Familiarity with FinOps principles and cloud cost governance frameworks

  • Experience with AWS Control Tower or similar Landing Zone automation tooling

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

  • You are not managing a single product’s infrastructure.
  • You are designing and governing the cloud foundation that every EVA product runs on — across every environment, every acquired company, and every team — and building the intelligent operations layer that keeps it all reliable, secure, and cost-efficient without waiting for an incident to tell you something is wrong.
  • This is a career-defining role for cloud architects who want to operate at organisational scale and define what agentic cloud operations looks like in practice.

Chief Agentic Quality Architect

1 open position

EVA is in the business of acquiring enterprise software companies and transforming them into AI-native, profitable, scalable businesses. By prioritizing Customer Success, we enable companies with strong product-market fit to emerge as market leaders through sustained product innovation and high-quality professional services delivered via our global team. We are a remote-first company and our team is spread across the globe.

WHY JOIN EVA

We offer:

  • High ownership, flexibility, and impact in a fast-moving environment.

  • Opportunity to work across multiple products, industries, and technologies

  • Growth pathways across engineering, product, operations, and leadership

  • Remote-first flexibility

ROLE OVERVIEW

As our Chief Agentic Quality Architect, you will orchestrate the transition from traditional scripted testing to an AI-augmented quality ecosystem. Your primary goal is to leverage agentic AI tools to generate, execute, and maintain high-fidelity test suites that keep pace with a development environment where AI agents are writing a significant portion of the production code.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

1. Assess & Benchmark Quality Coverage

  • Take ownership of a new product or suite of products as a hands-on quality leader. Conduct a comprehensive audit of the existing test estate across all layers — unit, integration, API, UI, sanity, and regression — evaluating depth, coverage, and reliability of each suite.

  • Evaluate the current QA tooling, frameworks, and automation maturity against EVA’s quality benchmarks and coverage expectations. Identify systemic gaps, test debt, and high-risk areas with no automated coverage.

  • Produce a Current State & Gap Coverage Report that maps existing tooling, highlights missing coverage domains, and recommends the adoption tooling needed to close the gaps — the baseline for every roadmap that follows.

2. Define the Quality Engineering Roadmap

  • Define missing test cases and user journeys. Prioritise end-to-end automation across critical business flows using agentic automation patterns, with a deliberate emphasis on left-heavy coverage — maximising unit and integration depth first, and extending rightward through black-box UI and regression testing.

  • Architect and own the phased quality engineering roadmap, structured as three delivery horizons:

  • Two-Week Plan: Complete the current-state assessment; identify the highest-risk coverage gaps; stand up quick-win automation on the most critical user journeys; evaluate and select the tooling to be adopted.

  • One-Month Plan: Core regression coverage established across primary domains; CI/CD quality gates operational and integrated into the development pipeline; agentic test generation producing its first validated suites.

  • Three-Month Plan: End-to-end agentic automation live and self-maintaining; EVA benchmark coverage achieved; AI guardrails enforced across all automated agent output; quality metrics visible to engineering leadership.

3. Agentic Test Generation & Automation

  • Prompt-Based Engineering: Utilise AI agents to automatically transform business requirements and manual test cases into executable Playwright or Cypress scripts.

  • Synthetic Test Creation: Implement tools that autonomously generate test data and edge-case scenarios that human testers might overlook.

  • Autonomous Maintenance: Deploy self-healing automation frameworks that use AI to detect UI changes and update test selectors without human intervention.

4. Guardrails for AI-Generated Code

  • Agent Regression Strategy: Design and own a comprehensive regression suite specifically tuned to catch the non-deterministic “hallucinations” or logic errors common in AI-generated code.

  • Behavioral Locking: Implement characterisation testing patterns to “lock in” the expected behaviour of legacy systems during AI-assisted refactoring.

  • Autonomous Output Validation: Define quality gates to validate the outputs of autonomous agents, ensuring they meet functional, security, and performance boundaries.

5. Build & Mentor an AI-Skilled QA Team

  • Hire QA engineers with deep, hands-on capability in AI-assisted testing and agentic automation frameworks — not generalists, but specialists who can design, implement, and operate AI-driven quality systems in production.

  • Mentor and upskill the team on EVA’s agentic workflows, guardrail frameworks, and quality benchmarks. Set the technical bar and hold the team to it through code reviews, pairing, and structured coaching.

  • Instil a quality-first engineering culture where QA is embedded throughout the development lifecycle — not a downstream gate — and every AI-generated change is treated as a quality risk until validated.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Automation Frameworks: Expert-level proficiency in Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.

  • AI Tooling: Hands-on experience using LLMs (Claude, GPT-4, etc.) and agentic frameworks to generate code or automate workflows.

  • CI/CD Mastery: Deep understanding of integrating quality gates into AWS-based pipelines or similar environments.

  • Architectural Mindset: Ability to design "Behavioral Snapshots" to safeguard critical business logic during rapid transformations.

  • 10+ years in QA automation engineering, SDET, or test architecture roles

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in remote-first or globally distributed engineering teams

  • Background in SaaS scale-ups, legacy modernization projects, or PE-backed environments

  • Exposure to performance, load, or security testing tooling

  • Comfort operating in high-ambiguity, high-ownership environments with evolving requirements

Customer Support Engineer

1 open position
EVA is in the business of acquiring enterprise software companies and transforming them into AInative, profitable, scalable businesses. By prioritising Customer Success, we enable companies with strong product-market fit to emerge as market leaders through sustained product innovation and highquality professional services delivered via our global team. We are a remote-first company and our team is spread across the globe.

WHY JOIN EVA
• Direct impact on customer outcomes across a growing portfolio of enterprise SaaS products
• Exposure to diverse technical environments across a growing portfolio and a clear path for technical and career growth
• Collaborative, remote-first team with structured onboarding and clear escalation paths
• Opportunity to shape support processes and contribute to runbook and knowledge-base development

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are hiring a Customer Support Engineer to be the primary point of contact for customers across EVA's portfolio of acquired SaaS products. You will own tickets end-to-end — triaging, investigating, and resolving technical issues, escalating complex cases to engineering, and helping build the knowledge base that keeps our support operation scalable and consistent.
This is not a script-reading role. You will need genuine curiosity about how software works, the ability to reproduce and diagnose issues in cloud-hosted environments, and the communication skills to translate technical findings into clear, reassuring updates for customers.
We are big believers in AI-augmented work. In this role, you will be expected to use AI tools intensively — for troubleshooting, communication, knowledge base search, solution generation, and more. The goal is not to replace your thinking but to make you dramatically faster and more effective at everything you do. If you are the kind of person who is already finding ways to use AI in your daily workflow and pushing its limits, you will fit right in.

This is a remote-first role. Given our customer base, we are looking for candidates able to cover US business hours.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
1.Ticket Ownership & Resolution
  • AI is a core part of how we work in Support — you will use it daily across triage, troubleshooting, drafting, and knowledge search. Your edge is knowing when to trust it, when to push back, and when to take over entirely

  • Communicate with customers at a consistently high standard — every update clear, every expectation set, every resolution confirmed; your written output should be good enough to become a template

  • Own the support queue with urgency — every ticket acknowledged, categorised, and prioritised within SLA, without hesitation

  • Resolve complex technical issues end-to-end — configuration failures, integration breakdowns, data inconsistencies, and environment-specific faults that require in-depth investigation

  • Reproduce customer-reported issues in staging or sandbox environments to confirm behaviour and gather evidence

2.Technical Investigation
  • Dissect issues that others would escalate — trace every problem to its root through logs, SQL queries, and system behaviour before drawing any conclusions

  • AI is your first call on every investigation — use it to surface patterns, generate hypotheses, and cut through complexity; your job is to direct it, validate it, and close the case

  • Resolve issues directly — correct data inconsistencies, adjust configuration, apply targeted fixes — you find the answer, you own the fix

  • Diagnose integration failures between our products and connected third-party systems — data sync issues, file exchange errors, and API misbehaviour across any connected platform

  • Where a direct fix is not available, you don't wait — engineer a workaround or alternative workflow that keeps the customer operational while the underlying issue is driven to resolution

  • Drive every open case forward without being asked — own the momentum across customers, internal teams, and engineering until the issue is closed

  • Reproduce and document issues with precision — environment, configuration state, data conditions, and exact reproduction path; when engineering escalation is needed, your summary is already written: concise, evidence-backed, and actionable without a single follow-up question

3. Knowledge Base & Runbooks
  • For every resolved issue, produce a clear and complete resolution statement — precise enough that anyone could follow it without interpretation; these feed directly into AI-generated knowledge base articles

  • Author and maintain troubleshooting runbooks for recurring issue patterns — clear trigger conditions, step-by-step actions, and unambiguous resolution confirmation

  • Identify gaps in product documentation and flag them to the product and engineering teams

4. Proactive Support Quality
  • Surface recurring issue patterns and systemic failure points to engineering as candidates for permanent fixes or product improvements

  • Actively look for repetitive ticket types, manual steps, and workflow inefficiencies — and bring forward concrete proposals to automate or eliminate them

  • Participate in post-incident reviews to capture learnings and update runbooks accordingly

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
You are not fielding tickets for a single product. You are the human layer of reliability across every EVA product, every acquired company, and every customer account. When something breaks for a customer, you are the first person they hear from — and how you handle that moment defines their confidence in the entire EVA portfolio. By resolving issues well, documenting what you learn, and surfacing patterns to engineering, you help make the whole organisation smarter and more resilient.
This is a career-defining role for support engineers who want to grow technically, operate across a complex multi-product environment, and have a measurable impact on customer
outcomes.
